Our family is like the branches
 of a tree.

We may grow in
different directions.

Yet our roots
remain as one.

Each of us will always be
    part of the other.

Grandmother of 5 beautiful children, mother of 4 beautiful children, married 34 years to one beautiful man, sister to another beautiful man.  Daughter of immigrants, granddaughter, niece, and cousin to many beautiful people of England, Ireland, and many other beautiful parts of the world.  Sister, Aunt, Great Aunt, Cousin, Niece-in-law to my Viking family.  So lucky to have all these people to love.  So grateful to live the life I have chosen.  So very thankful for all the love I receive from my beautiful family.

In the middle 1980’s, I was introduced to massage by Dr. Rudy Diablo’s DC of Moses Lake, Washington.  I had been in an industrial accident and he brought me to Rosetta Hazen, a licensed massage therapist in Soap Lake, Washington.  Working together they were able to restore my injured body.  I continued to see them both for several years.  In 1990, after many lessons from Rosetta, she invited me to attend a class called Body Balancing by James Minklar.  At this class I met another long time Soap Lake massage therapist, Maria Schurman and my journey to be a LMP took a giant leap.  Now, looking back I know I’ve been on a path here since I was very young.  The road has been interesting and I am so happy to finally be here at Healing Water Spa in Soap Lake, Washington.

My parents, Jim and Barbara Richardson, bought a ranch here in 1962 and I moved here with them and my brother, Kevin, in 1970.  I attended high school in Soap Lake and even served as a Representative of Soap Lake for a year in the 1973-74 royalty.

After raising our children and taking many classes over the years in herbal medicine, business, and management, I attended massage classes at Inland Massage Institute in Spokane, Washington in 1997.  After graduating I worked in the office of Dr. David Ellis DC for 2 years.  I then worked 2 years at the Basin Fitness Center in Ephrata and 5 ½ years at Heritage Massage in Ephrata.

In April of 2007 I purchased Healing Water Spa from Kathy Trantham and Don Johnstad, who had started the spa 5 years earlier.

I love Soap Lake; I consider it an honor to have a business here that offers an increase in knowledge of wellness to each person who comes through our door.

I have given thousands of massages over the years and taken hundreds of hours of classes in massage and related fields:
